Antioxidant Therapy With Antioxidant Tea

 

An antioxidant tea does not necessarily mean tea brewed out of the traditional tea leaves. Any herb boiled in water or soaked for some time in boiling water constitutes a tea and if the herb is rich in antioxidants you have yourself an antioxidant tea.

Quite a few herbal teas are very rich in antioxidants. Some of these are Acai Berry tea, Ginkgo Biloba tea, traditional green tea, white tea, and Rooibos tea. We are aware of the damaging effects of free radicals on the tissue of our body. Antioxidants are a great way to fight the oxidation of the living tissue brought about by the free radicals. One of the best sources of antioxidants is antioxidant tea drunk twice a day.

Free radicals are unstable atoms and these are created by a lot of natural processes like drinking and eating. The process of digestion creates a number of free radicals in the system. However, these are much below the quantity that the body is designed to manage. The problems begin when the number of free radicals increases drastically.

Unwanted free radicals are created by many other processes such as smoking, drinking alcohol, over eating, exercising too much, taking any form of medication and getting over exposed to the sun. Aging is the most apparent degenerative process brought on by free radicals.

While antioxidant tea is the most convenient source of antioxidants that ward off the effects brought on by free radicals, the best source for antioxidants is the Acai Berry drink. While antioxidant tea has to be prepared, the Acai drink does not. It comes ready to drink in bottles and is freely available over the counter. However, for those tea buffs it will definitely prove beneficial to drink at least two cups of green tea prepared at home every day.
